Minifest – a not for profit venture
Minifest is not-for-profit venture run by a group of friends. Any surplus profit we make is donated to charity. Here are the charities we have donated to over the last five years:
2015 we gave £300 to Contact the Elderly
2016 we gave Contact the Elderly and Unseen £750 each and £1500 to L’Arche
2017 we gave £1,000 to South London Refugee Association
2018 we gave £1,000 to Clear Community
2019 we gave £1,250 to Clear Community and £1,250 to Downs Syndrome Association
2020 and 2022 were cancelled, 2021 was run on a very small margin and made a loss, so did 2023. Let’s make this year’s edition, one when we can donate again! Our chosen charity will be announced nearer to the festival time.
How we started
It all started in 2009, when a few of us turned 40 and we thought “how about having a party in a field with our friends, our kids and a few bands?”It was such fun that we’ve been doing it every Summer ever since!
The festival lived for 12 years in a lovely farm near Rockbourne in Hampshire, thanks to Farmer Rob.
We have now re-located to another stunning site just outside Brighton, in the shadow of the Devil’s Dyke.
