Minifest 2023

We are back!

Minifest is moving to West Sussex and to the weekend just before the Summer school holidays.

We are so happy to be throwing this party again. We have much to work out and are hoping to innovate, as well as keep the favourite bits from the last 12 years.

We have a fantastic team of volunteers who help us make Minifest what it is, if you are keen to get involved or have an idea, please let us know at minifestmail@gmail.com.

Tickets will be on sale mid-April and we will be able to confirm ticket prices very soon, as we are working out what infrastructure we need.

We are recruiting new vendors and thinking hard about the line-up so watch this space for news.

News about Minifest in 2022

Update on 19th March 2022

Dear Minifesters,

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing that Minifest 2022 will not take place after all. The New Forest Council has new rules and regulations to protect the natural area, and our camping licence can no longer be approved. At this late stage, we have nowhere else to go.

What’s next?

In our case, we’ll start looking around for a new venue for 2023! This means going to a few small festivals this Spring and Summer so we can see sites and other ways to party! If you have any ideas or connections, please pass them on.
For you:
Get booking other lovely things for your family and friends – share it with the community too!
Keep us in mind for next year!
Keep us alive by looking at our wonderful galleries!

Dearest Minifesters!

Thank you to all of you who came to our September post-covid edition of Minifest. We were reduced in size but not in fun! The nights were quite chilly and the fog was pretty eerie too!

We have started planning this year’s festival which is due to take place in July 2022: save the weekend of 8-10th July right now 🙂

Tickets will go on sale in April. In the meantime, you can start planning your outfits and camping gear. As usual, demand for our glamping tents is high but email us if you want to be added to the waitlist.

‘Back to the roots’ Minifest

Dearest Minifesters!

Thank you, first of all, for not cancelling your tickets to this year’s Minifest – your affection, belief and support mean a lot!
We have crunched numbers and spoken to suppliers, and we are ready to gather once again at Tenantry Farm on 17-19th September.
There will be fewer of us – which feels appropriate in these Covid times – and we have had to make a few adjustments (such as a smaller block of showers and fewer bands), but the quiet field remains and there will be plenty of portaloos! There will also be our usual mix of excellent music and the very much loved talent show on Saturday afternoon. The kids’ arts and crafts tent may look a bit different as we want to ensure that we stay Covid safe, but the cinema in the evening, and the babysitting are still on.
Check out this A-Z for full details.

What you need to do:

If you are still coming: DO NOTHING – Start planning your outfits and your packing. Get your kids to practise their entry into the talent show. Your ticket stays valid and we will keep you updated as usual of the band line-up and food vendors that will be coming. (If you have also booked a tent, expect an email about these later this week).
If you can’t make it: EMAIL US BEFORE Wednesday 11th September AT : minifestmail@gmail.com and we will organise your refund.
That’s all for now 🙂

Here’s hoping!

Covid-19 Update

With heavy hearts, we have taken the decision to cancel Minifest 2020. We very much hope that things will have improved by July but, at this stage, we believe this is the right decision for everyone, including our wonderful suppliers.

We will be offering full refunds on your tickets. Please email minifestmail @ gmail . com (no spaces – we’ve added some here to avoid the bots!) with the name you booked the tickets under, sort code and account number and we will set up refunds for you.

This was the bad news but there is some good news!

Firstly, keep Sat 11th July free, as we have started to plan how we can livestream a virtual Minifest event to you all! We will come back to you with more details but think about a Minifest carpet disco in your sitting room or pitching a pop-up tent in your back garden and listening to our Minifest DJs!

Secondly, we have booked a date with Farmer Rob for Minifest 2021 (9th to 11th July). So, we will be back Minifesters!

Take care and stay well
Love from The Minifest Team
